Is Dating in This Age a War Zone?
I had to call this dating in 2019 – 2020 because 2019 kicked my ass when it came to dating and 2020 has been talking nice to me SO FAR!
I have posed the question many times over and asked, βIs dating present day a war zone?β or are we just getting it wrong with our requirements and standards when it comes to love?
Personally, I donβt think the latter is at fault. I say this because when I havenβt had these things in place and chose to indulge in a relationship or a situationship based purely on chemistry, or what I thought were feelings, or just because they were βfunβ it turned out to be a terrible idea every single time! Iβm a person that learns from my mistakes so the lessons were eventually learned and I see no point in me trying dating that way again. So, all of that said, I think dating can be tough but the toughness part of it all is just being patient will you wait on your person to arrive. You have to patiently wait through the social media couple goals, patiently wait through the matching pajamas on Christmas, patiently wait through being a bridesmaid and never a bride.
There are so many things you have to patiently wait through. However, the beauty I find in it all and what brings me the most comfort and that is knowing that if I choose to be patient over rushing into another time waster, I know that once I am able to finally settle down and tame the beast inside of me, it will be worth the wait. So, I ask you all to put some thought into that and some action behind to ask yourself the question, βAm I able to practice enough patience to get the partner thatβs truly designed for only me or am I willing to settle for Mr. or Mrs. Right Now and stay in the single lane forever?β Now I leave you to decide… to be single or not to be, that is the question.
